Back-to-school support

Care for the student.
Support for the family.

A haircut is personal. So is the confidence that comes with feeling prepared, welcomed and seen.

Fresh Cut Fresh Start has paired free haircuts with backpacks, school supplies and community resources. Volunteer barbers, local organizations and neighbors have helped make that welcome possible.

Ready for a new year

Past events have offered free haircuts, backpacks and school supplies for students preparing to return to class.

Connected to resources

Program history includes health and hygiene support, immunization partnerships, toiletries, food and information for parents.

A place to contribute

Barbers, resource organizations and high-school or college students seeking service opportunities have been part of the effort.

Support beyond the haircut

Useful connections
for the whole household.

Past Fresh Cut Fresh Start events have connected parents with information about housing, health, utility and bill assistance, parenting and spiritual guidance.
