Kansas City, since 2007
It starts with
knowing people.
The Know Joey Foundation grew from the relationships Joseph “Joey Cuts” Thomas built as a barber and entrepreneur.
He founded the organization to help young men in Kansas City’s urban core make positive decisions, continue their education and explore entrepreneurship. Today, that history includes back-to-school support, youth experiences and Thanksgiving giving.
What guides us
Education. Encouragement. Opportunity.
We connect young people with local entrepreneurs, useful resources and people who believe in their potential.
Our purpose is practical: bring the community together around support that people can feel.
